BUCKY PIZZARELLI  Swing Live
CHESKY SACD 223 TT:  60:02
(5/4 channel - Chesky prefers not to use the center and low-frequency channels; the readout is 5 channel, but there are only 4, left & right, front and rear)
Here's another special treat for jazz aficionados - guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, Peter Appleyard, vibes; Bernard Purdie, drums; Allen Vache, clarinet, and bassist Michael Moore, in a program recorded live in a Manhattan Jazz club Feb. 26, 2001.  You are right there in this remarkable recording that includes jazz club ambience and audience.  A superb example of live jazz recording at its most effective "you are there" presence.
CHUCK MANGIONE  Everything for Love
CHESKY SACD 228 TT: 71:54
(5/4 channel - Chesky prefers not to use the center and low-frequency channels; the readout is 5 channel, but there are only 4, left & right, front and rear)
The culmination of a half-century recording career, this CD offers the famed jazz brass master and a select group of associates (Gerry Niewood, Grant Geissman, Charles Meeks, Corey Allen, Darryl Pellegrini, Tim Regusis and Emidin Rivera - plus a vocalists Paulette McWilliams and Cindy Mizelle) in a lengthy program of favorites.  The vivid recording was made in St. Peter's Church, Chelsea, NYC; engineering is Chesky's best,  which is to say state-of-the-art.  A very special CD for jazz enthusiasts.
